Dear Members of the IITAC,
A couple of days ago I happened to meet Mrs. Khare, W/o (late) Mr. Pradeep Khare.
Most of you, especially, older members may remember Mr. Khare a very renowned Indian Canadian. He succumbed to cancer and passed away last year.
His family is in Vancouver and they have set up a scholarship in his memory. I am forwarding the email for making aware of this scholarship to give wide publicity.
Unfortunately this year's (2016) scholarship application due date has passed. But the scholarship will be available for years to come.
Please see below the email sent by Nitin. Please also check out the website.
Please do share with any body you like, specially IIT folks.

Subject: Announcing the Pradeep Khare Memorial Scholarship
Dear Family and Friends,
Today marks one year since we lost our loving Baba / Dad / Husband. This past year has been difficult as we try to find a new path. We thank all of you for all of your support.
As you all know, Dad was always committed to furthering education and development opportunities for the younger generation and was involved in many formal initiatives between India and Canada. With this in mind, we are pleased to share with you that we have developed a scholarship in Dad's name; the Pradeep Khare Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship specifically incorporates Dad's vision and and is awarded to an international student of Indian origin, who is enrolling in graduate studies in Canada and who demonstrates financial need. Attached is a brochure about the scholarship and below a link to the website.
The first scholarship will be awarded this August and has already been sent to schools across Canada and India. For this year, we have set a $2500 amount for the scholarship which we plan to increase in the following years as the scholarship becomes more established.
All of you were a part of Dad's life in some way, and we wanted to share this with you. We thank IC-IMPACTS for their guidance in setting this up and providing technological infrastructure to help us administer this scholarship. In addition, Nikisha played a central role in driving this forward.
We are excited to have this in place in Dad's honor. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please feel free to share.
- Nikisha, Daisy, Mom, and Nitin
